The reason why I’m happy
Is because I’m blessed
It’s easier to smile now than when I’m stressed

The reason why I’m successful
Is because I work hard
I must finish what was started in my own backyard

The reason why I ball
Because it means everything to me
And it’ll take me from point A
All the way to point Z

The reason why I write
Because I wanna tell my story
An introspective view on the seek to find glory

The reason why I’m generous
Is because of what I never had
I’m there for other people cuz I never had a dad
Although I remain happy
Never stayed sad
I make others smile so with that I am glad

The reason why I wrote this
Because life teaches to all
